Hope replaced by apathy as Seattle falls to 4th place in NFC West
A week ahead of the bye, the Seattle Seahawks are 4-4 and playing host to the Los Angeles Rams. In a deadlocked NFC West division, every game is must win for each of the four teams, but perhaps Seahawks are feeling the heat the most, having lost four of their last five games. Another week without DK Metcalf is sure to be an obstacle, but the show must go on. Geno and company will be looking to build some momentum after an embarrassing showing against the Buffalo Bills a week ago.
The Seahawks defense held up relatively well through the first half, and despite doing little through the first 27 minutes of the game, the offense finished strong, scoring twice in rapid succession, aided by a timely Riq Woolen interception. The momentum seemed to be completely in Seattle’s favor, but there was still an entire half of a football game to be played. Well, another week, another loss. With the exception of Jaxon Smith-Njigba, the entirety of the offense was out of sorts today.
