The new slasher movie Scream 7 will reportedly be directed by Christopher Landon, director of Happy Death Day.
The famous slasher franchise was revitalized in 2022 by Radio Silence, a filmmaking team including Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett. They directed the fifth and sixth movies in the series, with the most recent one being Scream VI earlier this year. A seventh movie in the series has not been officially confirmed yet.has reported recent rumors that Radio Silence will not return to direct Scream 7.
Instead, the directors are focused on their untitled Universal Monsters movie. A director whose name is reportedly in the running to helm the new movie is Christopher Landon, director of horror films like Happy Death Day, Freaky, and most recently, We Have a Ghost.Jonathan Sim is a film critic and filmmaker born and raised in New York City.
