A SCOTTISH hotel has been named as one of the top 50 in the world at a top awards ceremony in London.
The eagerly awaited list of The World’s 50 Best Hotels was unveiled on Tuesday evening with Gleneagles Hotel the only Scottish entry on the list, coming in at number 32.
In total, six hotels across the UK made the list with four of these in London – Claridge’s , The Connaught , NoMad London and The Savoy .The Newt in Somerset was the UK’s other entry with the ceremony marking organisation 50 Best’s step into the world of travel and their first global ranking since the launch of The World’s 50 Best Bars in 2009.
“It’s all down to the incredible people that make up the team at Gleneagles without them this wouldn’t be possible, and this award is a celebration of their hard work and commitment to making each and every guest’s stay a truly unique and memorable experience.
