SCOTTISH-based brand Thistly Cross has picked up a number of prizes at a top awards ceremony.
The East Lothian cidermaker prides itself on its “deliciously thistly” drinks range, believing its use of real fruit and hand methods helps to create the best taste.
Its strawberry-flavoured cider picked up the World’s Best Rosé Cider award at this year's World Cider Awards.The popular Whisky Cask cider meanwhile was awarded a silver award in the UK’s Best Flavoured Cider category while its Scottish Fruits product picked up a bronze. Thistly Cross founder Peter Stuart said: “We’re so proud of our range of real fruit ciders and it’s wonderful to see them top the World Cider Awards.The Traditional and Original ciders meanwhile picked up awards in the UK’s Best Sparkling Cider category with silver and bronze respectively.
And the new Thistly Low Alcohol Elderflower bottle was awarded silver in the UK’s Best No and Low Alcohol category.
