Caroline Igoe, who shot Martyn Barclay in the head with his own gun, was allowed to attend the service of Paul Igoe in Edinburgh yesterday.
The 45-year-old is serving a life sentence over the killing of gangster boyfriend Martyn Barclay.
Caroline was taken to the service, which took place at St John Vianneys Church in the capital, in a white Ford Transit people carrier with blacked out windows. "The death of a close family member is obviously tough to take at any time but it's even more difficult when you're in prison and away from your loved ones.Caroline, then 32, screamed "like a banshee" at Paul, then 37, when he was sentenced to six years for helping her cover up the murder.She also said he should have "taken the rap" for shooting Martyn, 26, with a single shot from his own handgun outside her home in Edinburgh's Inch area.

She also lied to the Record that she had been left "devastated" by his death and "been through hell".But the truth came out during the police probe and she was told she would have to serve a minimum of 20 years for the killing.
