Opposition parties back the tot's call for fairer funding deal for charities which support families with disabled children.
A four-year-old took her fight for better funding for disabled children to the Scottish Parliament and managed to unite opposition parties.
Her dad Lawrence launched the Our Kids Won’t Wait campaign this summer calling on the Scottish Government to introduce a fairer funding deal for charities which support families with disabled children. Campaigners say the move is “short changing” charities like The Yard, which Eilish attends, which have needed to grow significantly to meet demand.
“The recent decision to roll forward the Children and Young People Early Intervention Fund grants at 2016 levels is preventing frontline third sector organisations from meeting demand.
