Anthony Smith, 47, was airlifted to hospital following the collision with a vehicle while cycling in the Ling Road area of Loughborough, in Leicestershire, shortly after 8pm on Friday. Sadly Anthony, from Maryhill in Glasgow, died a short time later.
"He loved the outdoors and keeping fit and over the past few years Tony lived life to the full – from skydiving to kayaking. He will be greatly missed by this family, especially his mother, brother, sister and his niece." The 29-year-old was later released on police bail pending further enquiries, while the two arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender have been released under investigation.
