A Scots councillor has been flooded with support after announcing the heartbreaking death of her baby.
Posting the tragic news on Twitter, the Clydesdale West councillor wrote: "Carys Charlotte Evelyn Mclay, born the 4th of January 2023, 2am, asleep. You are loved beyond your wildest dreams and although this is not what we ever imagined you are perfect to us in every single way. Mummy, daddy and big sister Erin love you very much our angel."
Former MSP Aileen Campbell said: "Oh Lynsey, I am so sorry to read this. I have no words that seem adequate, but thinking of you all at this unimaginably difficult and sad time. Take care and sleep well, wee Carys."
