Officers believe the unknown individual could help them with their inquiries into the fate of the Rosyth man.
Police investigating the disappearance of a 28-year-old who vanished while camping with pals are appealing to a man seen walking in the area to get in touch.
Concerns are growing for the welfare of Reece, from Rosyth in Fife, and five days on from his disappearance police are pursuing a new lead. They believe a man who was seen walking on a nearby road around the time Reece disappeared could help with their inquiries. Reece is described as 6ft tall, of medium build with dark hair. When last seen he was wearing a black long-sleeved t-shirt with distinctive white letters on both sleeves spelling out "MA.STRUM" along with black jogging bottoms and black wellington boots.
Sergeant James Longden, of Pitlochry police station, said on Thursday: “The area where Reece was last seen is wooded and he was not familiar with the landscape and may have become lost or taken a lift somewhere. We are asking anyone camping or driving in the area when Reece was last seen and since then to get in touch if they have seen anyone who matches his description.
