Marie Gweth was given a warning after the incident in August 2020 but is allowed to continue working in the sector.
A Scots care worker had a warning placed on her registration after she sent someone pretending to be her to do her shift.
There are no details available for the individual and whether they were permitted to care for vulnerable people. However, it was noted that there was another qualified worker there too and the anonymous person was not the only staff member on site. The report stated: "Nothing is known about this individual, including whether or not she had been subject to the usual disclosure checks that workers need to undergo before being allowed to work with vulnerable people. You showed a complete disregard for the systems that are in place to ensure safe recruitment practices, and the system of professional regulation.
"It also amounts to a failure to treat the service users with respect, as they have a right to expect that the people who are being allowed into their homes are properly vetted and properly trained workers."
