Snow is predicted for Scotland this week.
Predictions by WXCharts show purple covering much of the north-west of Scotland on Friday, March 22. This includes areas such as Fort William, Portree and Inverness.
As well as snowfall for Friday, the weekend will also see snow. Further predictions show that more parts of Scotland - edging further south towards Glasgow - will see snowfall from as early as 3am on March 23. "The first of this wintry weather will begin to make itself known around Friday day or evening as cold winds from the north and wintry showers merge into some longer spells of snow across Scotland, particularly in parts to the west of Scotland."
