A new study has revealed the cheapest and most expensive areas in Scotland for a pint at a Wetherspoon pub.
The new research, carried out by investment data website AltIndex, has revealed the Wetherspoon pubs throughout the UK where you can expect to pay the most and least for a pint of Carling. According to the results, Edinburgh is the priciest destination in the country, while pubs in a number of areas charge just £2.63.
On the other hand, the study found that branches in Clackmannanshire, East Lothian, Inverclyde, South Lanarkshire, and Stirling and Falkirk all charge £1.40 less for a pint of Carling. Elsewhere, a pint at a Wetherspoon pub in the Scottish Borders will set you back just 11p more at £2.74. Elsewhere, Edinburgh was second only to Inner London when it comes to the most expensive Wetherspoons for a pint. If you're heading to the centre of the English capital, you can expect to pay £4.76 — over £2 more than the cheapest Scottish locations.
