The pub in Scotland with the 'best outdoor seating area' has been crowned in a recent nationwide award ceremony — just in time for the unexpected September heatwave.
With people across Scotland thinking of ways to make the most of the unexpected September heatwave, one Scots pub has just been named as having the best beer garden in the country.
According to the Scottish Bar and Pub Awards, however, The Black Ivy in Edinburgh rises above all of the rest. As reported by the Scottish Daily Express, the hotel and pub took home the prize for best outdoor seating at the award ceremony last week, beating out The Fox and Willow in Ayr, Hugo’s Bar and Pavilion in Dalgety Bay, and The Ivy Lodge in Aberdeen.
As well as being a picture-perfect park, the Links is also famous for being one of the earliest-known places where golf was played. It is also popular amongst the city's dog walkers, as well as locals who want to soak up a few rays. Meanwhile, the hotel also offers a "selection of quality pub food" to enjoy alongside your drink, from tasty nibbles like beetroot hummus and smoked almonds to delicious meals such as fish and chips and burgers.
