Scotland will be sizzling under the hottest temperatures in the UK
Temperatures are set to skyrocket in Scotland today in what will be the warmest day of 2023 so far, the Met Office has said.
Experts have also said that the high temperatures are set to continue as we go further into the week - ideal for anyone wanting to get out and make the most of the summer weather. Despite these higher than average temperatures, this spell of good weather doesn't quite meet the Met Office's heatwave criteria - but is still good news for Scots desperate for a bit of sun.
Dan said that the month of May has been very dry and with "just slightly more than half the normal amount of rainfall we would actually expect".
