Many will be heading out to enjoy a firework display this weekend with hopes the weather will not ruin this year's Bonfire Night.

Thousands of Scots will be heading out to enjoy firework displays this weekend as Bonfire Night arrives just days after Storm Ciaran brought heavy rain and wind.

Six flood alerts remain in place as the storm wreaks havoc for a second day, with areas including Aberdeenshire and Aberdeen City, Dundee and Angus, Edinburgh and Lothians, Fife, Findhorn Nairn Moray and Speyside and the Scottish Borders set to impacted by thedownpours. Areas across the west of Scotland are set to enjoy sunny spells on Sunday, with a bright day for the Lothians and southern areas of the country too.

If you are heading out on Saturday instead, the weather is expected to be a lot more settled that in recent days and weeks.
