A 22-year-old man riding a motorized scooter suffered life-threatening injuries when he was struck in hit-and-run in downtown San Diego, police said Friday.The man was riding southbound on 5th Avenue when he was struck by a vehicle headed west on Ash Street, Heims said.
After the collision, the driver kept going, he said. Police had no information about the vehicle that struck the man.Witnesses and tipsters with information about the crash were asked to call the Traffic Division. Anonymous tips can be left by calling Crime Stoppers at 580-8477.
