A school in Devon has introduced a gender neutral uniform policy as parents complain about the new rules,
A secondary school has introduced a gender-neutral uniform policy which will require all students to wear trousers.
But it is the ban on skirts – with the exception of PE lessons – which has caused controversy among some parents. ‘Parents/carers will be pleased to know that the majority of the uniform will remain as it is, with the exception from September all students will be expected to wear trousers.’However, the changes have not been well received by some parents, who have criticised the school for a lack of consultation with parents and pupils.
