Police raced to Framwellgate School at around 10am today after reports of the student's threat.
A school was placed into lockdown this morning amid reports that a pupil had threatened a staff member with a piece of wood. Cops raced to Framwellgate School, Durham, at around 10am.
It is understood that no one was injured during the incident. The lockdown was lifted once Durham Constabulary arrived at the scene. One parent said: "I don't know what is happening, I've managed to get through to the school and they couldn't give me any information, but said the matter is dealt with and the kids are safe.
