The council at St Bartholomew’s C.E Primary School in Great Harwood want to change the speed limit from 30mph to 20mph

A campaign has been launched by a school to slow down the speed limit near their school after they say two children were injured in a road collision.

In a letter sent to Hyndburn council , the school council stated: “Lowerfold Road is the road that surrounds the park. “Some of our students were trying to cross the road and stepped out in front of a car. This car then had to swerve and brake.“Our children and staff are feeling very shocked, worried and anxious about this event.”
