Scottie Scheffler stays near top of British Open leaderboard after Round 2
went out in the morning and posted a second consecutive 4-under 68 to get to 8-under for the championship, good for a tie for sixth and five behind Cameron Smith’s lead. Though his score was the same from the previous day, Scheffler didn’t feel many similarities.
Zalatoris is only playing in his second Open Championship and this will be his first made cut after withdrawing from the 2021 Open with a back injury. He was in in contention before he pulled out prior to his second round.
Spieth is feeling confident with his driver around a course where you need that club dialed in. However the 28-year-old is frustrated with his performance on the greens.
