Scottie Scheffler will take a three shot lead over Tyrrell Hatton into back nine of the final round at the Players Championship on Sunday, the American holding steady as challengers struggled in difficult conditions at Ponte Vedra Beach.
Norway's Viktor Hovland Australians Cam Davis and Min Woo Lee sit five back of the leader with holes to play. Scheffler's first bogey of the day at the third would move Lee into a share of the lead but the Australian's stay at the top would be brief.
