The warning comes after a customer was reportedly threatened with a knife
Police have issued a warning to passengers travelling from Manchester Airport to be aware of "rogue car parks."
A third man, aged 48, was also arrested on Sunday 13 August on suspicion of vehicle theft, after he used a customer’s car to travel to Middlewich custody unit to collect his two colleagues. He has also been released on bail pending further enquiries.People have also reported vehicles being damaged at the car park as well as lost keys, cars seized by creditors and staff being abusive and threatening towards customers.
Operation Inspector Andrew Baker, Beat Manager for Wilmslow and Knutsford, part of Macclesfield LPU, said: “Sadly, despite our previous warnings about these rogue car parks, people are still using the sites resulting in lots of unhappy customers and placing unnecessary pressure on local police officers.
“Holidays are supposed to be the highlight of the family calendar and while it might seem like a good idea to save a bit of cash on parking, the last thing anyone wants is to return home and find that their car has been damaged, or even worse is missing.
