Maybe Michigan State would be different? After all, Saturday was the Buckeyes’ first road game of the season. Bad things can happen when leaving home. AskYoung players sometimes freeze up when an opposing crowd bears down on them. It’s harder to hear the quarterback’s signals at the line of scrimmage. Hotel beds take some getting used to. Some stooge pulls the fire alarm at 3 a.m.It wasn’t. The Buckeyes buried the Green and White 49-20, and it wasn’t even that close.
Don’t get me wrong, amazing feats of individual athleticism never get old. Witnessing Harrison’s TD catch, linebacker Tommy Eichenberg's closing speed and Stroud’s anticipation and accuracy , is like drinking five cups of coffee over 3 ½ hours. Not gonna fall asleep with that happening. What’s left, then? Nitpicking and Nervous Nellieism. Of the first, coach Ryan Day and wide receiver Emeka Egbuka say “Bring it on.”
