The Durban High Court heard on Thursday that a bakkie belonging to an elderly couple was found some 300 kilometres from where they disappeared.A Hawks officer, who was tasked with finding the Saunders, told the court that nine days after the couple was last heard from their Land Cruiser was tracked down to a cul-de-sac in a bushy area in Verulam.The detective told the court that they decided to watch the vehicle from a distance for a while to see if anyone would approach it.
The court heard the vehicle was loaded onto a flatbed and taken to a forensics unit in Richards Bay to be examined
