Here are a few of our favorites for you to stare at along with us.T​he week began with this mesmerizing low-pressure system spinning over the Great Lakes on Monday. It was responsible for producing over a foot of snow in western and northern Wisconsin.Snow from that storm began to melt away quickly on Tuesday.

T​hose same thunderstorms also displayed their intensity on satellite. The darkest orange colors indicate colder cloud tops in this infrared image, which is often an attribute of powerful storms.T​hursday gave us satellite views related to space that we don't see every day.
