Princess Bride star Cary Elwes, Smallville\u0027s Erica Durance and TikTok stars Leroy and Leroy are among celebrities making an appearance.
Celebrated British actor Cary Elwes, who uttered the famous line in the 1987 cult classic The Princess Bride, is amongst a handful of celebrities headlining this year’s expo, the first to take placeOrganizers of the pop culture celebration announced the full celebrity, cosplay and creator lineups last week. Elwes joins Smallville’s Lois Lane, Erica Durance, who more recently was on the show Supergirl.
Star Trek Discovery stars Anthony Rapp and Wilson Cruz are also beaming down to Saskatoon. Rapp is known for a career on Broadway, including originating the role of Mark Cohen in Rent. Cruz played Angel in the Broadway touring production of Rent and Rickie Vasquez on My So Called Life — the first openly gay actor to play an openly gay character in a leading role on American television.
Actress and singer Katherine McNamara was the final celebrity to be announced, best known for her role as Clary Fray in the series Shadowhunters, which is based on a series of young adult books.The Moose Jaw duo are known on TikTok for taking their approximately 400,000 followers on a journey through the Prairies and beyond with their dry wit and keen observations. They cap off each video with their catchphrase, “I’m Leroy, he’s Leroy behind the camera, There’s always something to do.
