This is the government’s second attempt to change the legislation after a previous bill died on the order paper last spring.

Earlier this spring, the government had introduced similar legislative amendments but it didn’t go through because it came late in the session and didn’t receive unanimous support. Sarauer had said it’s important the province’s addictions crisis is kept in mind when having these discussions.
