Police have released new photos of schoolgirl Sara Sharif as they make a fresh appeal for information about her death.
Officers stated that releasing the pictures is part of an "ongoing appeal for information to help us build a picture of her life prior to the discovery of her body". The police say that since they discovered the child's body they have been engaging with community leaders and distributing leaflets in the local community in Woking.
Top news stories today On Tuesday, September 19, Sara's father, stepmother and uncle appeared at the Old Bailey accused of her murder. Prosecutor Giles Bedloe was told that post-mortem investigations remain ongoing to establish how Sara died. Harrowing details of how the child was found emerged at Guildford Magistrates Court on Friday, as the defendants were remanded into custody during the 20-minute hearing.
