Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc were both astonished by the sudden storm that arrived at the end of qualifying for the Sao Paulo Grand Prix. Verstappen and Leclerc were two of the first drivers to set a lap in Q3 and benefitted from their track position as the rain approached Interlagos.Lance Stroll qualified third in front of Aston Martin team-mate Fernando Alonso before qualifying was stopped with six minutes remaining due to the weather.
