Sakhile Sangweni and Kate van Jaarsveld beat a packed field to win the Cross The Line Half Marathon , sponsored by Food Lover’s Market, men’s and women’s 21.1km titles on Northrand Road on May 19.

The Gallopers top runner showed his dominance on a flat deck, with small up-hills as he clocked 3:16min/km to win the race in 01:08:43, 2:35 ahead runner-up Tshepiso Khati of Old Edwardian AC.Local lass Kate van Jaarsveld clocked 01:25:56 to scoop the women’s half marathon. Behind her was her Nedbank Running Club teammate Tebogo Mokgosinyane, crossed the line 04:17 after the Farrarmere resident while Azelle Grove made it a Nedbank RC top three after coming in third in 01:29:08.
