Former Great British Bake Off host Sandi Toksvig has been forced to cancel her tour of New Zealand and Australia after being hospitalised.
In a statement, it was revealed the star has been admitted with bronchial pneumonia and is so unwell she’s been left unable to travel or perform.
‘She has been admitted to hospital with bronchial pneumonia while still in Australia and is unable to travel & perform. Our main priority is getting her home to the UK as soon as she is well enough.’ Sandi was Down Under to make her Australian and New Zealand touring debut with a new, specially-conceived comedy show, Sandi Toksvig Live!Described as an evening of comedy and curiosities, the star was scheduled to ‘share little known facts and tell tall tales alongside some really silly jokes’.
