The interview was conducted in an interview room at Halifax Regional Police headquarters on Aug. 18, 2015, two days after Samson’s mother reported him missing.

Sandeson, who was a medical student at Dalhousie, said he waited on a doorstep but Samson didn’t show up. Sandeson said he found out later from friends that Samson had gone missing. In court Wednesday, Sandeson was dressed in a grey suit and blue shirt and wore glasses. He showed no reaction as the video was shown and Keddy answered questions as a witness from Crown attorney Carla Ball and defence lawyer Alison Craig.
At one point, Sandeson also leaves the interview room to go into a corridor where the photos were taken of his messages and call logs to Samson.
