San Pedro’s waterfront inches closer to center stage
The Port of LA held a ground breaking ceremony for the second phase of the $85 million LA Waterfront Promenade in San Pedro on Tuesday, July 18, 2023. This is the second and final phase of the promenade that will border the new West Harbor development.
The second portion of the promenade, at a cost of $31.4 million, will connect the finished portion to the north and head south, effectively giving San Pedro its “bridge-to-breakwater” walking and viewing path right along the Port of Los Angeles’ Main Channel.
Also on hand Tuesday was Eric Johnson, president of Jerico Development which partnered with The Ratkovich Company to design and create West Harbor.
