SAN JOSE — A student was stabbed Wednesday afternoon at a middle school near San Jose High School, authorities said.
The stabbing was reported about 12:07 p.m. Wednesday at Sunrise Middle School, a charter school at 1149 E. Julian Street. San Jose High School is located just across the street. The 15-year-old student who was stabbed was expected to survive, police said in a tweet Wednesday afternoon. Authorities did not specify where the student was stabbed or how many times.Units are currently investigating a stabbing incident at Sunrise Middle School. One 15 year old student with a non-life threatening injury. Suspect, also a student, in custody.
