San Francisco’s weeklong Noise Pop festival will feature more than 25 artists, including Snail Mail, the Mountain Goats and Hailu Mergia.
San Francisco’s hippest music festival is back. On Thursday, Noise Pop announced the Phase 1 lineup for its first 2024 festival. From Feb. 22 to March 3, Noise Pop will host concerts at venues across San Francisco, including Great American Music Hall, 1015 Folsom, Gray Area, Bottom of the Hill and Grace Cathedral. Compared with festivals like Outside Lands and Hardly Strictly, Noise Pop typically focuses on a mix of up-and-coming bands and legacy indie rock acts.
The 2024 Phase 1 lineup features indie royalty headliners Snail Mail and the Mountain Goats alongside international stars like Hailu Mergia and Sofia Kourtesis. Organizers also showed love for San Francisco bands, featuring indie pop outfit the Reds, Pinks & Purples and local punk bands Chokecherry and Spiritual Cramp. Promoters threw electronic fans a bone, booking expert knob-twiddlers Actress and Alessandro Cortini.
