The windy storm that arrived on Monday will fade out by Tuesday allowing temperatures to incrementally return to seasonal levels by Thursday.
The Pacific storm that lashed San Diego County Monday with cold, dry winds will clear to the east on Tuesday, giving way to a warming pattern that will return daily seasonal high temperatures to normal by Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.
Monday’s winds blew as fast as 64 mph at Boulevard, a town of 450 people on eastern Interstate 8, not far from the border of San Diego and Imperial counties. The winds caused swirling dust storms that reduced visibility to nearly zero in that region.Tuesday’s daytime high in San Diego will be 59, or nine degrees below average. The temperature will hit 65 on Wednesday, 68 on Thursday, 67 on Friday and 68 on Saturday.
