A shelter-in-place order was issued for an area of Chollas Creek due to a search for an “armed and dangerous” man, according to San Diego Police.

SDPD tweeted officers are looking for a bald Hispanic male, 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing about 150 pounds, last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt. Police did not provide any additional details regarding the wanted man.

ABC 10News learned University Avenue was shut down between 52nd and 54th streets due to the law enforcement activity.< Due to a police activity, we are asking residents in the chollas creek area to shelter in place.
