After a week of rain, we are in for more seasonable weather.
The forecast for the first full week of September will be mostly seasonal with little chance of rain. After a week of scattered thunderstorms and flood warnings reaching a peak in Bexar and surrounding counties Saturday, the forecast for the first full week of September will be mostly seasonal, according to the National Weather Service.
“We will be transitioning to a less active weather pattern after last week,” National Weather Service meteorologist Matthew Brady said. Many of the rain patches will clear up and dry out in the days ahead, he said, citing diminishing concern for heavy rainfall and flooding. East of Bexar County there will still be a 20 percent chance of daily thunderstorms, but for the rest of the county, morning clouds will give way to sunny or partly sunny afternoon. And San Antonioans can expect average temperatures this week with highs ranging between 92 to 94 degrees Fahrenheit.
For most of the county, Labor Day will see a high of 93 degrees and sunny skies, with a chance of thunderstorms as low as 10 percent, prime weather for the holiday’s outdoor activities.
