Laika Cheesecakes & Espresso follows its Alamo Heights and Alamo Ranch stores with a new one in Texas Hill Country.
New Braunfels is finally getting a taste of the hype as Laika Cheesecake & Espresso expands to its third location. The new shop opened for business Tuesday morning at 1430 Unicorn Ave., prepared to satisfy a sweet tooth faster than ever with a drive-thru. With its bite-sized cheesecake jars and caffeinated drinks, Laika quickly earned a dedicated fanbase after opening its doors in Alamo Heights in 2020.
The Ukrainian-owned eatery sold out of cheesecake when it opened its second location last year, in Alamo Ranch, apologizing to customers that had to leave empty-handed. Flavors such as Tres Leches and Red Velvet are served up in personal jars, slices or full cakes alongside beverages that are just as noteworthy. Express-News food critic Mike Sutter named Laika one of the top 10 coffee shops in San Antonio in 2022, praising the frothed Cuban coffee and Tres Leches Flat White.
