, at January’s CES, Samsung remained conspicuously silent about its own QD OLED plans both then and since. Despite the fact that Samsung Display pretty much invented the technology.
Rumours have swirled since then about why Samsung’s TV division has so far had nothing formal to say about its QD OLED offering, covering everything from internal wrangles over whether their focus for 2022 should be on LCD or QD OLED, to panel supply issues and concerns over how Samsung should market its shift from being a traditionally LCD-focussed brand to embracing OLED technology.
Today, though, evidence that Samsung really does have QD OLED TVs in the pipeline has finally emerged into the open. And since this evidence has appeared on a retailer website rather than through the usual Samsung marketing channels, the hope has to be that these QD OLED debutantes might not be too far away from launch.Photo: Samsung/Value Electronics
