Nurkovic has been out of action since September last year when he was forced to undergo knee surgery and missed each of the club's previous 16 matches across all competitions.

The Serbian forward has since returned to training with the Amakhosi and could make his long-awaited return in the Nedbank Cup when Chiefs meet TS Galaxy in the Nedbank Cup.Ahead of Saturday's encounter, the 29-year-old shared a positive update on his physical condition and insisted that he will be back to his best before too long.

"I'm really happy to finally be back with the boys on the field," Nurkovic told the club's media team."We are working hard preparing for the next match in the Nedbank Cup and I think we are ready. "I am still working hard to get in the best possible shape, where I used to be, and it requires a lot of work but I will be there soon.
