Sam and Dave - who passed away in April 1988, aged 50 - were also considered to have been one of the greatest live acts of the 60s. Sam actually worked with a host of big-name stars during his career, including the likes of Bruce Springsteen, Don Henley, Sir Elton John, Phil Collins, and Mariah Carey.
He said in a statement:"Over on E Street, we are heartbroken to hear of the death of Sam Moore, one of America’s greatest soul voices. There simply isn’t another sound like Sam’s soulful tenor in American music.
