A great move from Sainsburys 💜
Sainsbury's have introduced £2 fruit and vegetable boxes in a bid to become more environmentally friendly and reduce food waste.
It follows a successful trial back in January of this year, according to The Grocer, with the products carefully selected to ensure freshness. The boxes include a variety of surplus fresh fruit and vegetables sold at a lower price to make it more affordable amid the ongoing cost of living crisis. Shoppers can find the boxes in Sainsbury’s fresh produce aisle. The move forms part of the retailer’s commitment to halve food waste across its value chain by 2030.
