Safta nominated Kuhle Adams says she already feels like a winner
When her career started almost a decade ago, television presenter Kuhle Adams just wanted to be on TV and entertain people. Now, she stands to win her first ever SA Film and Television Award .iRequest: Celebrity Edition presenter had no idea about her nomination until she was surprised by her Expresso Morning Show team when the nominees were announced on 5 September.“The brief was that ‘we are doing check-in with our presenters who are away from studio’.
She recalled that Nomalanga Shozi, who is also nominate in the same category, was her judge when she entered the MTV VJ search in 2017. She said the win would be for everyone who was rooting for her, and those who thought they would not escape their circumstances.The beauty with brains holds a Bachelor of Social Sciences in Industrial Sociology and Environmental and Geographical Sciences from the University of Cape Town and she has put in the work in the industry.
She said when she stared out, she just wanted to be on TV and entertain people, but that changed when she grew in the space and saw that her job was important.
