Motlanthe, who is Safa’s general manager of legal affairs, will fill the vacancy left by Gay Mokoena who quit last month.
But Jordaan has denied all the allegations and there have been calls to either suspend Mokoena, who is one of the association’s vice-presidents, or to appoint a retired judge to investigate his claims. The other option suggested is to take the matter to Fifa’s ethics committee for investigation.Initially, it was expected that Gronie Hluyo, Safa’s chief financial officer, would fill the post.
