Mkhwebane joined the EFF shortly after her removal from office in September 2023 and became an MP a month later.He says, “Her membership into the EFF came at a time when she was all down low, facing a lot of challenges as a person in her career and the EFF was available to accommodate her and save her. What we are not sure of is as to whether, indeed, her heart was in the EFF.
