Saavedra Not Expected To Return To Mamelodi Sundowns?
JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA - SEPTEMBER 02: Erwin Saavedra of Mamelodi Sundowns and Lehlogonolo Matlou of Kaizer Chiefs during the MTN8 semi final, 1st leg match between Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns at FNB Stadium on September 02, 2023 in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Despite doing well in Bolivia, Erwin Saavedra is unlikely to make a return to Mamelodi Sundowns. Saavedra is currently on loan to Club Bolivar, the club Sundowns signed him from in 2022, and is enjoying his football again with the side. The 28-year-old did not really settle when he was in the PSL and was in and out of the team at Sundowns, with injuries also affecting his progress. After some time on the sidelines, he went back home and was able to secure a move back to Bolivar until the rest of the season.
It appears things are going well for him again. Saavedra has managed to get himself back into the Bolivian national team since his return to his home country and this will no doubt give him confidence.Get 14 days free to read all the stories on SNL24.com.
