DSG were hoping to revive their campaign after suffering consecutive defeats, but they had to settle for a single point. \The home team won the toss and elected to field first.
MICT's Ryan Rickelton and Rassie van der Dussen got off to a solid start for the league leaders, scoring almost 10 runs per over in the opening three overs and reaching 29/0. However, DSG seamer Junior Dala struck first, removing Rickelton from the crease. DSG captain Keshav Maharaj then took the ball and lured Reeza Hendricks into a sweep shot, with Wiaan Mulder taking a catch on the boundary. The final wicket to fall was Colin Ingram, who was dismissed by DSG's consistent performer, Noor Ahmed. Ingram attempted to punish the Afghan spinner, but Brandon King took a catch on the ropes. \By the 10th over, MICT had reached 62/3, with the rain intensifying.
