SA’s top bowls players receive World Rankings boostRoberts, fresh off his victory at the African States Tournament in the Singles and Pairs, has risen to fourth in the world with 674 points.
“The World Champion of Champions is next and I guess, there’s both a lot of pressure and none at all. It’s such a strong field, so maybe I can fly under the radar a bit but then again, if I get some good results I can keep myself in the top 12.” “The World Champion of Champions is a great opportunity for both Wayne and myself. It won’t be easy … and then of course, other players will be earning points in other events. But I’ll keep my head down and continue to do my best and train well and take each match as it comes.”
