SA's MTI scandal: US lawyers now want money back from 150 bitcoin investors
of the founder of SA's largest Ponzi scheme in Brazil, lawyers representing the scheme's liquidators are attempting to recover tens, possibly hundreds of millions of rands from investors in the US.
Lawyers acting for Mirror Trading International's liquidators in a US bankruptcy court have sent out 150 legal complaints demanding that"net-winners" pay back their"ill-gotten" investment gains. Liquidators have also sent out summons for similar clawbacks in South Africa, saying that all MTI gains are were unlawful and needed to be paid back.
